Face the media radio programme is back
The Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Zambia flagship programme which used to run on Radio Phoenix is now back and started airing on 23rd January, 2008 on Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC).

Supreme Court upholds High Court’s decision not to deport Roy Clarke
On 24 January 2008, the Supreme Court of Zambia upheld the 2004 decision of the Lusaka High Court not to deport satirical columnist Roy Clarke, a British national permanently resident in Zambia, over a column published in the privately owned The Post newspaper on 1 January 2004 allegedly insulting President Levy Mwanawasa.

Photojournalist manhandled by local government police officers
On 25 March, 2008, Makson Wasamunu, a photojournalist from the state owned Zambia Daily Mail was manhandled and harassed by Lusaka City Council (LCC) Police Officers after he took photographs of them confiscating merchandise from street vendors in the Central Business District of Lusaka, commonly known as Town.

Court dismisses appeal against Post News Editor
On Thursday 3 April, 2008, the Lusaka High Court Deputy Registrar Edward Musona dismissed an appeal by the Defence lawyer of former Zambia Air Force (ZAF) Commander Lieutenant General Sande Kayumba facing charges of abuse of office and corruption requesting the Magistrate to caution The Post Newspaper Editor Fred M’membe to desist from commenting on a case that was before the court.
